Knocked Up
So yesterday morning at 0830, I took a pregancy test. I am positively pregnant. At first Shane didn’t believe me.. and I think he still may have had some doubts. So I guess that would explain all the crying and bitching I’ve been doing for the past week. We’ve been trying for what seems like forever, but is really only about six months. I’m suprised the pregnancy test came up positive so quickly, I was only late two days.
So anyways, since I like the bloggings, I thought I would tell you all what happened to me tonight.
I go in to work tonight, and my supervisor says “Hey. One of your patients last night had bacterial meningitis. You need to take some antibiotics since she was all up in your face.” And I said “What?” all high-pitched and sharp-like. So I said, negative, I will not be taking any pills, due to being pregnant. If I get sick, I will take some meds.
And then about 12am, I get sick. I’ve been nauseous for a week, so it was really no different at first. Then I barfed. Then I felt hoooot. My temp was 101.3. I said “Sons a bitches, I had better get some antibiotics, justincase.”
And I did. Being that I was knocked up, I couldn’t take the standard pill. I had to have the med that only comes in an injection. So therefore, everyone at work found out I was pregnant. I was doing good at keeping a secret too… I know it’s not kosher to announce a pregnancy before three months along… so I really wanted to wait. No luck.
So anyways, on to other subjects. Ms. Mead and I are going to Ikea tomorrow to do some shopping! Svelte. I’m going to look at baby stuff!
I know it’s entirely too early to be planning anything, but I just can’t help it. I know about a billion things can happen to a pregnancy this early on… and I need to remain guarded, but I just can’t. We wanted a kid SO bad… I just can’t help but be overjoyed.
I’ve got to go to bed now… it’s 4am and I’m too excited to sleep.
Yay babies….boo lines at ikea
Okay, okay, your guttersnake is back so you can start blogging again!!!
Hey, congradulations on more kiddies in your life! I’m sure that you’re just as nervous as you are excited. Hows Shane taking it? Have you gotten plans for names yet. I’m going to be supplementing names right up until the birth certificate is signed. For my first suggestions…
